Camping at the 2009 Columbia County Fair

The Following rules must be adhered to for the safety and comfort of all who use the camping area during the Columbia County Fair.

CHECK-IN: Upon arriving at the campground, stop at the Camping Superintendent’s Office to be shown your camping location. All campers must use the assigned camping spot and may not move without prior approval from the Camping Superintendent.

Every person camping during the fair, from Wednesday, July 15th at 6am through July 19th must show proof of paid fair admission to the Camping Superintendent when checking into the campgrounds and must have the day hand stamp or a pass on them at all times. Please be prepared to show fair passes for each person registered to camp with your party and to show your pass at the gates when coming and going during the fair.

4-H members and leaders may purchase their passes at the Extension Office in advance. All other fair passes can be purchased at the gate or in advance at the fair office.

Only one (1) vehicle will be allowed per camp site. All other vehicles will need to park in the fair parking lot. All vehicles in the camping area will need a vehicle pass. Vehicle passes must be displayed and visible at all times. Vehicle passes can be obtained from the Camping Superintendent.

Anyone wishing to sleep in their horse/stock trailers must pay camping fee. All trailers will require a Vehicle pass. There will be no charge for vehicles or livestock trailers unless you are sleeping in them. Parking is not allowed on the road inside the campgrounds.

1. No pets, including horses and dogs, are allowed in the campgrounds. Offenders will be asked to leave, with dismissal after the first warning.

2. No excessive noise is allowed before 7am or after 11pm (no loud music, or generators).

3. No one under the age of 21 can be a chaperone or will be allowed to camp without an adult chaperone.

4. No vehicles allowed inside barns.

5. No smoking inside or near barns.

6. Only authorized utility vehicles or golf carts will be allowed in the campgrounds. A vehicle pass will be required.

7. No alcohol is allowed outside of an individual campsite. No underage drinking is allowed. This is a family event and campers are expected to behave in a respectable manner.

There will be no overnight camping in the outside parking lot unless approved and assigned by the Camping Superintendent and a camping and/or vehicle pass issued.
